Women in Tech Italy: building an inclusive digital future in the age of AI is a talk dedicated to one of the most pressing challenges of our time: ensuring that digital transformation and the evolution of artificial intelligence are truly inclusive. In a job market increasingly shaped by AI, automation, and new skills, there is a real risk that the gender gap in tech will not only persist, but widen further.
Starting from the global vision of Women in Tech®, an international organization committed to reducing the gender gap in the technology sector and supporting five million women and girls in STEAM by 2030, the talk highlights the role of Women in Tech Italy in strengthening the Italian innovation ecosystem. The chapter was created with the goal of unlocking and promoting untapped female talent in the digital space, fostering education, networking, and collaboration among companies, institutions, universities, and tech communities.
The session will offer a practical perspective on the current landscape: the shortage of ICT skills, real examples of leading women in tech careers, the redefinition of professional roles, and the new opportunities created by AI. Through insights, perspectives, and dialogue among speakers, a key question will be explored: how can we build a more equitable, competitive, and sustainable future of work for Italy?
The talk will also serve as a call to action: to invest in future skills, support female leadership, and promote a digital ecosystem that is inclusive, innovative, and capable of generating real impact.
