By analysing, in an anonymised and aggregated form, transaction data from over 80 million active cards in Italy, Mastercard examines e-commerce trends and the online spending habits of Italian consumers.
The session will offer a preview of some of the key findings from the “Mastercard eCommerce Insights 2026 – Italians’ online shopping habits”, including an analysis of product categories, the level of concentration among the main marketplaces and retailers, the geographical distribution of online payment penetration, and the main seasonal patterns in e-commerce.
